Development of ICT-Based Learning Media to Enhance Students' Digital Literacy Competence in Social Media Usage

This study aims to develop Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based learning media to improve students' digital literacy competencies in utilizing social media as a learning tool. The background of this study is based on the still low ability of students to utilize social media such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok effectively, critically, and responsibly in an academic context. The method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were students who utilize social media in the learning process, with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, and digital literacy tests. The results of the study indicate that the developed learning media is declared feasible based on validation by material experts and media experts, and proven effective in improving Thus, the resulting ICT-based learning media can be an alternative solution in improving students' digital literacy competencies, especially in utilizing social media such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok as effective and responsible learning tools.

Analysis of the Effectiveness of Learning Analytics-Based Formative Evaluation in Improving Secondary School Students’ Learning Engagement

Student learning engagement is a key predictor of academic success, yet conventional formative evaluation often fails to provide timely and personalized feedback to encourage optimal engagement. This study analyzes the effectiveness of learning analytics-based formative evaluation in improving middle school students' learning engagement. The research method uses a quasi-experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design involving 240 eighth-grade students from four middle schools in Bengkulu City. The experimental group (120 students) received learning analytics-based formative evaluation using a digital platform integrating real-time analytics, adaptive feedback, and learning progress visualization, while the control group (120 students) received conventional formative evaluation. Data were collected through learning engagement questionnaires, learning activity observations, digital platform log analysis, and learning achievement tests over a 16-week period. Research findings show that the experimental group experienced significantly higher increases in learning engagement scores compared to the control group: cognitive engagement increased by 43.7 percent versus 18.3 percent, emotional engagement by 38.4 percent versus 15.7 percent, and behavioral engagement by 41.2 percent versus 19.4 percent. Learning analytics data analysis shows that students in the experimental group accessed learning materials 3.4 times more frequently, spent 2.8 times longer studying, and completed assignments with a completion rate of 89.7 percent compared to 67.3 percent in the control group. Learning outcomes for experimental group students increased by an average of 24.6 points compared to 12.3 points in the control group. Key effectiveness factors include: immediate and specific feedback, motivating progress visualization, data-based learning path personalization, and student involvement in metacognitive reflection. This research contributes to developing a technology-based formative evaluation model that can enhance student engagement and learning outcomes in the digital era.

Local Wisdom-Based Education: Exploring the Religious, Moral, and Social Values of the Safar Bathing Tradition

The Mandi Safar tradition is one of the enduring cultural heritages in Air Hitam Laut Village, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. This tradition is performed on the last Wednesday of the Islamic month of Safar and is believed to be a ritual to ward off misfortune and seek safety.

This study aims to explore the meaning, values, and role of the Mandi Safar tradition in the Social and cultural life of the local community. The research employs a qualitative descriptive Method with an ethnographic approach through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results indicate that Mandi Safar is not merely a religious ritual but also serves as a cultural Identity and a medium for strengthening social bonds among the villagers. The tradition reflects The integration of Islamic teachings and Malay customs that continue to be preserved amidst Modernization.

This study aims to describe the impact of implementing Canva on the development of students' writing literacy through a wall magazine project at SMK Al-Karimiyyah Sumenep. This research is crucial due to students' lack of ability and motivation in writing. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation of student work. The subjects were 10th and 11th grade students majoring in Agribusiness and Agricultural Product Processing (APHP) and Motorcycle Engineering (TSM). Data analysis consisted of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that Canva provides a creative space for students, increases motivation, and enhances their interest in writing skills. Canva has proven effective as an innovative tool in developing students' writing literacy through a wall magazine project.

An Ethnomathematic Exploration of Kajang Lako Traditional House Motifs in Elementary School Learning in Jambi

This study aims to describe how Kajang Lako reflects cultural elements within the system of equipment and technology and to reveal the symbolic meanings embodied in its architectural components. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic approach through literature review and cultural observation. The findings show that Kajang Lako combines traditional construction technology, environmental wisdom, and local symbolism. Every part of the house, from its pillars to its carvings, reflects harmony between humans, nature, and God. Thus, Kajang Lako is not merely a dwelling but also a manifestation of the Jambi people’s cultural identity.
