Gorga ornaments are an essential element of Batak Toba culture, serving not only as aesthetic decorations but also as symbols rich in meaning. Each gorga motif carries specific philosophical and spiritual values, reflecting the relationship between humans, nature, and ancestral spirits. This study aims to explore the symbolic meanings of gorga and its role in preserving the cultural identity of the Batak Toba. The research methods include literature review and direct observation of traditional houses and Batak artifacts. The results indicate that gorga functions as a medium of cultural communication, a symbol of protection, and an indicator of social status within the Batak Toba community. Therefore, understanding gorga ornaments can enhance awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage.
