EduLado: Journal of Educational Innovation and Learning Development Organization is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. Every paper submitted to EduLado: Journal of Educational Innovation and Learning Development Organization for publication is subject to peer review. The peer review in this journal is an evaluation of the submitted paper by two or more individuals of similar competence to the author. It aims to determine the academic paper's suitability for publication. The peer review method is employed to maintain standards of quality and provide credibility for the papers. The peer review process at EduLado: Journal of Educational Innovation and Learning Development Organization proceeds in 9 steps as follows.
The corresponding or submitting author submits the paper to the journal through an online system supported by the Open Journal System (OJS). To facilitate authors, EduLado: Journal of Educational Innovation and Learning Development Organization also temporarily accepts submissions via email or direct editorial assistance.
The submitted paper is first assessed by the journal editor to determine whether it fits the journal’s focus and scope. The manuscript structure and formatting are evaluated based on the Author Guidelines to ensure all required sections and styles are properly followed. At this stage, the paper is also evaluated for its academic quality, including the identification of major methodological flaws. Manuscripts that pass this stage are checked using Turnitin or Plagiarism Checker X to detect plagiarism and measure the similarity index before proceeding to the review stage.
The Editor-in-Chief evaluates whether the manuscript is sufficiently original, relevant, significant, and suitable for publication in the journal. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without further review.
The handling editor invites reviewers who possess relevant expertise, aligned research interests, and no conflict of interest. The peer review process involves qualified experts capable of providing objective and impartial evaluations. This journal implements a double-blind peer review system in which reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. Therefore, all manuscripts are sent anonymously to reviewers.
Potential reviewers evaluate the invitation based on their expertise, availability, and possible conflicts of interest. They may either accept or decline the invitation. If declining, reviewers may suggest alternative reviewers with suitable expertise.
Reviewers carefully examine the manuscript several times to assess its scientific quality, originality, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field. If major issues are identified, reviewers may recommend rejection. Otherwise, they provide detailed comments and recommendations, including acceptance, rejection, or revision requests categorized as major or minor revisions.
The Editor-in-Chief and handling editor consider all reviewer comments before making a final decision. If the reviewers’ opinions differ significantly, an additional reviewer may be invited to provide another evaluation before the final decision is made.
The editor communicates the editorial decision to the author via email, including anonymous reviewer comments and recommendations. Authors are expected to respond to the comments and revise the manuscript accordingly. Reviewers are also informed about the outcome of the review process.
If the manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to the copy-editing and publication stage. If revisions are required, the handling editor provides constructive feedback from reviewers to help improve the manuscript. Authors must revise and resubmit the manuscript according to the reviewers’ recommendations. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers or directly assessed by the handling editor for minor revisions.
Once the editor is satisfied with the revised manuscript, the paper is officially accepted for publication. Accepted articles are published online and are freely accessible as downloadable PDF files.
